Paul Amuna

Dr Paul Amuna is a physician scientist, Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine and consultant in international nutrition and public health. He is Honorary Principal Lecturer (Associate Professor) at the University of Greenwich, United Kingdom. A graduate of the University of Ghana Medical School and the University of Sheffield UK, he has over two decades of experience in training and capacity building in the United Kingdom, Europe, Africa and The Middle East. He serves on a number of international boards and committees and has participated on Expert Scientific Panels in the European Union, Africa and the United Nations. He is a Trustee and Chairs the International Affairs Committee of the Nutrition Society of the UK and Ireland. He is also a Trustee of the African Nutrition Society (ANS) and Chairs its International Scientific Committee. He also served as Board Member of the Association for Nutrition (AfN), the professional accreditation organisation for nutritionists in the UK and Ireland from 2007 to 2013. He is currently Board Member of the e-Nutrition Academy (eNA), an international multi-stakeholder technology platform to support nutrition workforce training in developing countries. He is Advisor to the FAO of the United Nations on professional training in nutrition education (ENACT). He has also worked with WHO-AFRO on implementing tools for the management of chronic disease.
