Hélène Delisle

Hélène Delisle is now professor emeritus at the Department of Nutrition, Faculty of Medicine, University of Montreal. She trained in public health nutrition more than 40 M.Sc. and Ph.D. students from French-speaking Africa. As head of TRANSNUT, a WHO Collaborating Centre on Nutrition Changes and Development until 2014, her research has primarily focused on the nutrition transition in West Africa. She was recently in charge of a Canada-funded university partnership project in West Africa on the double burden of malnutrition, with the aim of strengthening training, research and advocacy capacity to address the issue (2008-2014).
