Inês Rugani is associate professor at the Nutrition Institute at the State University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Her research focuses on design and evaluation of interventions, programs and policies on public health nutrition. She is the coordinator of the Special Interest Group (SIG) on Public Health Nutrition of the Brazilian Association of Collective Health (ABRASCO). Her priority themes at this SIG are conflicts of interest in public-private relationship and the interface between food and nutrition approaches at the National Health System and the Food and Nutrition Security agenda. She was the Executive Secretary of the World Nutrition Rio 2012, the first edition of the WPHNA’s World Nutrition Congress.
