Ann Ashworth

Ann Ashworth is Emeritus Professor of Community Nutrition at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She has helped shape national and international policies regarding infant and child nutrition. She worked for many years at the Tropical Metabolism Research Unit, Jamaica.  She has led initiatives to improve treatment of severe malnutrition and helped to produce the WHO guidelines. She has been a facilitator and team leader on a number of capacity-building programmes in Africa, Asia and Latin America. She chairs the International Malnutrition Task Force which is a global advocacy and capacity-building partnership of academics and UN and non-government agencies.
